The network focuses - together with SIRENís recruited trainees - on a collection of key regulators of specific events in the early plant embryo. With an integrated set of methods (see figure below) these key regulators are then used as an initial body of genetic and molecular data regarding molecular and functional interactions. These data inform mathematical models that describe the regulatory networks active during early embryogenesis.

Project Concept of SIREN

SIRENís network pursues four objectives to successfully implement the major project aims described above. The access of all network partners to the exclusive, jointly created technological platform, the multidisciplinarity of the network and the transfer of knowledge by the seconded trainees of SIREN between the partners, play an essential supporting role in this research project.
